Skiing in Alt St.Johann
Since the first year we came to Switzerland, every Winter the
children go on organized skiing Sunday trips to Alt St. Johann in
the Toggenburg. Not only the kids learnt how to ski and/or
snowboard, but the also have great fun. If anybody is
interested in joining these trips, one can either contact
Claudia Hui
or can go to their web page.
It is highly recommended!
For the first time this year they have taken
pictures,
- Thsi is just to give you an idea of what the place looks
like, this should be the Chäserugg
(2300 m) seen from Alt. St. Johann, this another nice mountain,
this is the slope
on the mountain in front of where one skies , and this just a
nice picture of winter
vegetation
- These are pictures from the first Sunday they went skiing
this year, the 11th of January. This is Gabriele
and this is Raffaello,
while these
are both on them watching a movie on the bus
on the way back.
- This is the second day for them, the 18th of January,
a picture of Raffaello's
teacher showing to them what to do, and Raffaello following her,
with two relaxed pictures of Raffaello's group (one and two), Gabriele sitting on the
snow
with his group,
and Raffaello showing
the ski sole with his group also.
- Well, this is the last day, the 1st of February, with a
little race and a little ceremony to give prizes. Last year both
Gabriele and Raffaello arrived 11th (one
in snowboard, the other in skiing), while this year they both
arrived 8th!
You can recognize them, because one is the most tense, while
the
other is proudest.
Afterwards
they all got relaxed
and enjoyed the clown
whom Claudia had hired. By the way, here is Raffaello in his
impeccable race.
And I must admit that, I have no idea of what these pictures are
about,
except that there is a
funny guy with funny skis and a stick
who seems to ski as if he were a witch sitting on a
broom...
