About me

Since September 2020, I am a doctoral student in the research group of Prof. Dr. Siddhartha Mishra at the Seminar for Applied Mathematics (SAM) at ETH Zürich. I obtained a BSc in Physics at KU Leuven (2018, summa cum laude) and a MSc in Mathematics at ETH Zürich (2020, with distinction). I also worked as a research assistant at the STADIUS Center for Dynamical Systems, Signal Processing, and Data Analytics (2020, KU Leuven).

My current research goal is to contribute to the mathematical explanation of the good performance of deep learning techniques in scientific computing. In particular, I am interested in providing proof that neural networks can efficiently approximate solutions of (high-dimensional) partial differential equations.
