About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher specializing in geometric analysis and working under Alessandro Carlotto on his ERC-funded project CHANGE (CHallenges in ANalysis and GEometry, between mean and scalar curvature).

My research has focused on minimal surfaces, particularly questions about the existence, uniqueness, and index of closed minimal surfaces in the 3-sphere and free-boundary minimal surfaces in the 3-ball; I am also interested in general relativity, especially questions pertaining to R. Bartnik's definition of quasilocal mass.

Previously I worked in software development at De Novo Software and have taught classes in calculus, linear algebra, ordinary and partial differential equations, group theory, and real analysis at CSU (California State University) Fullerton, CSU Long Beach, UC (University of California) Irvine, and Brown University. I did a first postdoc under Rick Schoen at UC Irvine, and I received my PhD from Brown University under Nicos Kapouleas.
