I am a PhD student at the Seminar for Statistics of ETH Zürich. My supervisor is Sara van de Geer, I am co-supervised by Peter Bühlmann.
My goal is to provide insights into classical methodologies and to provide new ideas for tools with a rigorous mathematical foundation.
What keeps me up at night:
- Horror stories about logistic regression: what do you do if the signal-to-noise ratio is huge? What if the small sample size is small, or the dimension is high?
- Puzzles about linear separation: A practitioner's nightmare and a theoretician's dream.
Send me an email, I am curious to hear from you!
