SNF-funded Postdoc

I have received funding from the SNF for a 3 year postdoc for the period from September 2024 to August 2027. The position has now been filled.

The funding is related to a project on trace functions, and especially on Fourier transforms in the context of trace functions and of general commutative algebraic groups, as recently developed in my monograph with A. Forey and J. Fresán. This is a broad topic which can range from pretty abstract algebraic geometry (e.g., to solve some of the remaining foundational questions of the theory) to very concrete applications to analytic number theory, with a lot in between. (You can look at the book above to get an impression, and also at recent survey papers on trace functions more generally.)

If you are interested in applying, you should apply to the ETH Departmental Postdocs, the Hermann Weyl Instructorships. You should also contact me to indicate your interest in the position, or for any other questions.

The deadline for the applications to Hermanny Weyl positions is November 1. You may also apply later by contacting me directly, but full consideration is not guaranteed in that case. The decision should be taken in early 2024; if the position is filled earlier, this will be indicated on this web page.
