About me

I'm a mathematician active in the fields of low-dimensional topology and knot theory. In particular, I'm interested in knot concordance and Khovanov-Rozansky homologies.

Since August 2023, I work as a Senior Scientist at ETH Zürich.

Where I've worked and studied before

From April 2019 till July 2023 I was a Emmy Noether Independent Junior Research Group Leader (funded by the DFG) at the University of Regensburg.

From August 2014 till February 2019 I was a postdoc working with Sebastian Baader at the Universität Bern.

From April 2013 till April 2014 I was a research associate working with Andrew Lobb at Durham University.

My PhD thesis titled Khovanov-Rozansky homologies, knotted weighted webs and the slice genus was supervised by Christian Blanchet at the Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu. The defense took place on June 28th 2013.

My Bachelor and Master are from the ETH Zürich. My Master thesis The Rasmussen Invariant of Arborescent and of Mutant Links from April 2009 was supervised by Sebastian Baader.
