About me

Welcome! I am Francesco, a math PhD student at ETH Zürich under the supervision of Prof. Emmanuel Kowalski. Previously, I was a student at Scuola Normale Superiore and the University of Pisa.

My research interests lie in Number Theory, Diophantine Geometry, and anything arithmetical. I am especially interested in questions related to the arithmetic of curves, in particular elliptic curves and their ranks. I have found an elliptic curve with rank (at least) 31, and a "small" elliptic curve of rank (at least) 30.

I am also interested in evaluating the mathematical capabilities of frontier AI models. I have contributed to Tier 1-3 of the FrontierMath benchmark.
