I am a Professor of Mathematics at ETH Zürich and Director of the Forschungsinstitut für Mathematik. My research lies in calculus of variations and partial differential equations, with a focus on regularity, stability, optimal transport, free boundary problems, geometric and functional inequalities, and elliptic PDEs. Selected recognitions include the Fields Medal, the EMS Prize, the Stampacchia Gold Medal, and the ETH Golden Owl for teaching.
