Dr. Simon Becker

Welcome to my homepage! I am a mathematician and applied analyst currently employed as a Hermann Weyl Instructor in the Department of Mathematics (D-Math) at ETH Zurich. My main research interests lie in the mathematical aspects of quantum mechanics, with a particular focus on condensed matter physics, materials science, and quantum information theory/quantum computing.

In addition to these core areas, I have also worked on problems in statistical mechanics, (deep) learning, and numerical algorithms.

Broadly speaking, I aim to position my research at the interface of analysis, applied mathematics, and quantum mechanics.
